Anne & Katie already got them!

No, I’m not talking about the black cocktail dress.  What I’m referring to here is a rather rare fashion phenomenon: the fusion of two current trends. A relict from the 50s, kitten heels made their first re-appearance earlier this year. Dipped in vivid brights and flashy neons, they have been among our favourite footwear for the summer season. Now, the pointy “low” heels have teamed up with this year’s nude trend and out came a classy, sophisticated pre-autumn style. Anne Hathaway and Katie Holmes paired their nude kittens with classic LBDs which porbably isn’t the best choice. Especially Anne’s gold-embellished knee-length prom dress looks quite odd in combination with the glittery heels (actually, every aspect of this dress is just wrong for my liking). Katie on the other hand manages to keep her look minimalistic and simple but fails to add at least a little hint of glam to her outfit which makes the whole thing rather plain and boring (ZzzzzZZzzzzzzzz).

And because I am a fan of constructive feedback (and secretely wished I could be a personal shopper / stylist),  I simply couldn’t resist browsing the Zalando closet to show you how I would incorporate the nude kitten heel trend for an elegant evening and casual daytime look:
