Granted, it may have once been first instinct to associate studded leather garment finishings with vagrant street mongrels and strung out rocker has-beens, but times; they are a changin’. From the closets of celebrities from Emma Watson to Lady Gaga; rivets, studs, and metal finishings are no longer just glam rock, but simply glamorous (within reason of course). Fashion muse and celebrity Kate Bosworth is a shining example of this metal forged fabulousness, attending the Burberry Fall 2011 Fashion Show during London Fashion Week. Appropriately fitted in Burberry Prorsum double breasted khaki jacket and a beautifully matching studded and spiked pencil skirt, bottomed off by (you guessed it) Burberry pre-Fall 2011 quilted boots.

Whether purses, belts, and shoes or skirts, jackets, and tops; studs are stunning. Alexander McQueen and Balmain aren’t the only ones studding their couture; more main stream designers like Esprit, Miss Sixty, and Steve Madden are also transforming their plain leather and making it “riveting.” If you are as enticed as I am by the trend, here are some samples at Zalando to whet your appetite:
LIU Jeans short blue dress, Muubaa white leather jacket, Pura Lopez white handbag, By Malene Birger Ginau gold bracelet, Esprit Sum Studs gladiator sandals, and Apepazza Sofia blue sandals…Oh La La!
